Linsey + Kevin October 6th, 2018

L i n s e y + k e v i n

Where do I even start with this sweet couple? A mutual friend connected Linsey + I, and I knew she was going to be a blast to work with when we discussed our mutual love of bacon. We also pondered how to make a bacon bouquet, but that’s besides the point. Obviously, I knew I wanted to work with Linsey + Kevin off the bat, and the rest is history.

This was the first wedding that I had the opportunity to help plan, design, and coordinate. I had so much fun learning about their relationship, and finding ways to reflect those unique qualities in their wedding day. They opted to have a small + intimate gathering for only their closest friends + family, and it was beautiful! And also full of quirky details, amazing vendors, and beautiful scenery.

Some of my favorite things about their day were:

  • The sweet relationship between Kevin, Linsey, + the boys as they officially gained their “bonus mom”

  • The sparkly Keds that Linsey chose to rock down the aisle instead of heels

  • How fun Linsey’s best friends were to work with - can they come work with me every wedding?

  • The fact that they opted to have a full nacho bar instead of traditional dinner - best choice ever

  • Linsey’s dad’s jacket resting on a reserved chair in his honor for the ceremony - cue all the tears

  • Seeing Kevin’s face every time he saw his beautiful bride (seriously, Linsey is stunning)

  • Being able to watch Linsey + Kevin relax, laugh, and be completely stress-free for the day

And can we talk about the vendors?

Linsey + Kevin hired the BEST vendor team for their event. It was so much fun to work with these creatives, and they all did an amazing job contributing to the day!

Can’t forget about dessert

Carrot cake, giant cinnamon rolls, cream cheese frosting, milk + cookies for toasting - does it get any cuter (or more delicious)? And here’s the craziest part - the bride made everything homemade from scratch! What kind of superwoman is frosting her own cake the night before her wedding and serving guests dessert that looks like it cost a million bucks?! Linsey. That’s who.

Linsey + Kevin, thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your day. Forever grateful for sweet clients that turn to friends. Cheers to forever with your best friend by your side!
