Two Day Lakeside Elopement
CALEB + STEPHANIE
When Stephanie + Caleb reached out to us about planning their elopement, we knew it was going to be FUN. They live in New Mexico, which means that all of our planning process was remote. The best part? The groom wanted it all to be a huge surprise to his bride - he convinced her we were planning a simple party without any bells and whistles. Little did she know we had a 2 day lakeside party planned for them + their closest friends!
DINNER ON THE DOCK
Guests arrived to the private lakeside residence late in the afternoon to mingle + enjoy appetizers. Polaroids were snapped of each person to serve as the placeholders for dinner that evening. As the sun began to set, we made our way down to the most beautiful table setting on the dock. Surrounded by mountains, twinkle lights, and the reflection of the water, Mama Stortini’s catering provided an AMAZING meal to all of our guests. After dinner, the groom + friends camped outside for the night for a mini bachelor party. The bride + the girls headed into the cabin for gifts, manicures, and relaxation.
SUNRISE LAKEISIDE CEREMONY
The next morning, the bride and I got up bright + early to begin getting ready. Our sweet photographer, Vannessa Kralovic, arrived to start capturing the magic of the day. As the sun began to rise, we held the sweetest ceremony on the lake. Stephanie + Caleb said their vows with the cute officiant (my husband), as the guests watched from a deck above.
After they said “I do”, we sent them away for photos + alone time to let it sink in that they were finally MARRIED! When they returned, we all gathered on the deck above the lake for a brunch reception. Mini blueberry mint pancakes, a mimosa bar, and a full spread of amazing food were served. Toasts were made. Laughter was DEFINITELY heard. As the morning progressed, we sent the new Mr & Mrs off for their honeymoon. The wedding guests stayed for the afternoon and enjoyed time with friends at the lake.
This elopement is proof that you don’t have to do things the traditional way. Sometimes the details you’re worried may be different are what make the day just as unique + beautiful as the love story you share.
Thank you so much to the amazing vendors that helped me pull off this elopement and all of the crazy ideas I wanted to execute on our short timetable. You are all magic!
